Happy Spring.

Can you believe it’s already April?

This is my favorite time of year! Spring is often seen as a symbol of renewal, growth, and new beginnings. It represents a time of transition from the cold and dark winter to the warmer, brighter days of the coming season.

In many cultures, spring is associated with fertility, as plants begin to bloom, animals awaken from hibernation, and life re-emerges after the cold winter. It’s a time of hope and rejuvenation, symbolizing the cycle of life and the promise of new opportunities.

I was born in the Spring. My birthday is April 5th. And this year, I will be 69. Which means I am entering my 70th year on earth. To clarify, the year you were born (0-1) is your first year. So when you celebrate your birthday, you are entering the next year.

For many years on my birthday, I sent my flowers to my mom, thanking her for my birth. It was an idea I heard from an acquaintance and I immediately put it into practice. It brought me so much joy! It was a new tradition in my life for many years, until my mom’s passing 20 years ago.

If you are lucky enough to still have your mom, perhaps you will implement this as a new tradition. Remember, it’s the simple gestures that often mean the most.

Here’s to an amazing April.
